About Artist/Instructor Tina Trahan
ARTIST BIOGRAPHY
Tina’s artistic journey started as a young girl growing up in the northern United States.
When she was fifteen years of age her family move to Southern Louisiana, where her love for art continued to grow and flourish.
Tina has many accomplishments as a Professional Artist having participated in many exhibits and festivals from the west to the east of Interstate 10. Tina is an accomplished muralist, one of her many murals is on public display and can be seen in the City of Rayne, Louisiana entitled: “Dancing in the Rayne”, that was “such a fun piece” said Tina.
She was trained in Faux finishing techniques in Atlanta, Georgia and Baton Rouge, Louisiana. She finds great joy in creating art, exploring techniques, composition, and seeing beauty in bold, jubilant colors. She continues to pursue her LOVE of ART by reading art related books, taking work shops, and courses in person and online... “never stop learning!”, said Tina.
Tina’s creative process is beautifully orchestrated through the use of skill and techniques.
She has curated a powerful body of work.
Tina’s bold use of color, texture, and subject matter are what sets her apart in the arts.
She considers her style to be “Abstract Realism”. Her art empowers others, it inspires happiness, hope and strength... the “what could be... to Be BRAVE - DREAM IN COLOUR “ with a painterly brush or knife stokes of bold clean colors.
She has an accomplish list, as a professional working Artist.
She has participated in various festivals, juried competitions, exhibits and gallery shows in
Lafayette, Broussard, Rayne, Crowley, Gueydan, Kaplin, Abbeville, Baton Rouge, and New Orleans.
She has painted Public Art /commercial and residential murals.
She has enjoyed various mediums in fine art to the decorative art for over 30 years which gives her a unique view of seeing as an Artist sees. “I have always considered myself to be an Artist” said Tina, as she expressed … "Art has always been a large part of my life".
Tina recently reopened her in person art studio in 2022, after having to close classes due to the pandemic. She has thoroughly enjoyed seeing returning Studio Artists and meeting all the new Studio Artists coming into her studio.
What does the future hold for this Artist?
Tina is currently working on a new series in her body of work for her collectors.
Her future goal is to create a fun and unique art book for children
that inspires bravery through the use of color.
Tina feels that every home needs original art, “The beauty of adding original art to any room absolutely changes the feel of the room.” said Tina.
It’s my goal to have a working studio
that is a thriving, inspiring, learning environment in visual art, and to encourage others
to be their own creative, confident self.

I am a working Professional Artist and Art Instructor for over 30 years.
I have always considered myself to be an Artist.
I have explored many art styles in finding my own unique style of art.
I really enjoy adding texture and play to my personal creative art style.
I absolutely love bold, beautiful colors.
My art work inspires happiness, hope, and strength.
"You can be strong, tender, courageous and beautiful, all.... at the same time".
I especially love to share the power of art with others in my Broussard, Louisiana Studio.
Seeing others blossom and experience the same incredible power
that I too experienced is one of the greatest joys to behold
and sharing this love of art with others is a beautiful life long journey.

I have a working studio (LaToscana' Studio) where I continuously build on my artistic skills as a professional Artist, where I create and sell my beautiful art collections and teach my love of art.
